History & Mission
Our History
The Lincoln Writing Center began in 2022 with a single English professor helping students learn to draft, write, and revise. Now, we employ a Project Manager; a Director; and numerous student tutors who have been trained to respond to their peers. We continue to learn and grow through service each day!
Mission Statement
The Writing Center’s mission is to provide all Lincoln students with access to trained peer educators who will provide nonjudgemental writing assistance at all stages of the writing process.
Make an Appointment
Tutors are available both in-person and online. You may make an appointment by emailing WritingCenter@LincolnU.edu; you may have a walk-in appointment while our physical Center is open; or you can submit to our Online Writery, also by emailing WritingCenter@LincolnU.edu.
