Academics
The Academic Living Learning Communities-Honors Program curriculum is intentional about cultivating and modeling exceptional scholars, well-prepared for graduate school, professional school and professional work environments.
Upon graduation, the Lincoln University Honors Program scholar will be trained in the following:
- Advanced Core Communication
- Advanced High Level Critical Thinking
- Advanced Understanding of Integrating and Applying Knowledge
- Advanced Written and Verbal Intellectual Depth
- Societal and Culture Awareness
- Demonstration of Prudent Judgment, Values, and Ethics.
The program is committed to service and scholarship that contributes to the formation of cosmopolitan students or citizens of the world; well-prepared for success in graduate school, professional studies, and professional work environments.
We also encourage and facilitate study abroad for all our members.
Community cohorts
Business Cohort:
Majors: Business Administration, Accounting, Economics and Marketing
The Cohort provides opportunities to:
- Maximize learning: Connect learning inside the classroom to business practices
- Maximize Network with local business professionals
- Build resume credentials
- Manage academics with other activities (clubs, student leadership sports, etc.)
- Connect your learning inside the classroom to business practices
Health Allied Cohort:
Majors: Nursing, Biology, Wellness, or similar
The Cohort provides opportunities to:
- Developing caring professionals devoted and trained for practices in an evolving, complex health care environment.
- Provide leadership to promote health among culturally diverse people and promote the advancement of health related fields via evidence-based practice and life-long learning.
- Build resume credentials
- Manage academics with other activities (clubs, student leadership, sports, etc.)
Public Affairs Civic Engagement Cohort:
Majors: Political Science, Criminal Justice, Social Work, Psychology Sociology, History
The Cohort provides opportunities to:
- Develop caring professionals devoted to engaging the community to improve conditions of others that will positively shape the community's future
- Develop students that are interest or engaged in a variety of fields in Government, Law, Public Policy Non-Profit sector, History, Education, or similar.
- Build resume credentials
- Manage academics with other activities (clubs, student leadership, sports, etc.)
