Brad Dorris is the Adult Education and Literacy (AEL) Director for Jefferson City Public Schools. He is a native of Van Buren, MO, and graduated from College of the Ozarks with a Bachelor's of Arts in History and English. Brad has taught history and English at the junior high, high school, and college levels. He entered the Adult Education and Literacy field in 2014 at Crowder College in Neosho, MO. During his time in AEL, he has worked as an instructor, a Lead Instructor, a Transitions Specialist, and now as Director. He has served in the state AEL organization, the Missouri Association for Adult, Continuing, and Community Education (MAACCE), as a member of the Conference Planning Committee and as MAACCE President and has also worked with the national AEL organization, the Coalition of Adult Basic Education advocating for Adult Education in Washington, D.C. Brad has been happily married to Susie, who teaches 5th grade at South Elementary, for the past 16 years and enjoys spending his free time with her and their two dogs, Ajax and Onyx.
