LU Housing Selection Process for Returning Students

Room selection closes April 6 – while you can still submit your housing application after this date, you will not be able to select a room or suite once the deadline passes.

To secure a housing assignment for the upcoming academic year, returning students must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

  • Complete your 2025–26 FAFSA

  • Be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours by May 5

  • Be enrolled in 12 or more credit hours by the first day of classes, August 18

Important: Only full-time students (12+ credit hours) are eligible to live on campus. If you are not enrolled full-time by August 18, your housing assignment may be revoked.

Exceptions: Graduating seniors and graduate students are exempt from the 12-credit hour requirement but must still meet all other criteria.
