Lincoln University of Missouri announces the appointment of four new staff members to its University Advancement team. These professionals bring invaluable experience and a commitment to enhancing Lincoln University’s alumni engagement, community relations, and financial stewardship. They will work closely with Dr. Grant Winrow, vice president for University Advancement, to further strengthen the University’s outreach and long-term impact.
"I am delighted to welcome Lauren, Brandon, Lionel, and Zoë to our team," said Winrow. "Each of them brings a unique skill set that will help drive our efforts to build lasting relationships with alumni, improve our financial operations, and elevate our communication strategies. Their contributions will be integral to Lincoln’s continued growth and success."
These new team members will work collaboratively with Dr. Winrow to move the University’s footprint to further develop the area of advancement.
Alumni Affairs
The new Alumni Affairs team, led by Co-Alumni Affairs Coordinators Lauren Maupins and Brandon Kendrick, will be responsible for enhancing the relationship between Lincoln University and its alumni. Their key focus areas include updating the alumni database, managing alumni events on campus, and fostering meaningful connections that extend beyond graduation.
Lauren Maupins '89 returns to Lincoln University with a rich background in project management, sales leadership, and technology innovation. As an alumna and former Miss Lincoln University, Lauren has spent over 25 years cultivating diverse talent, particularly in STEM fields. She will lead efforts to increase alumni involvement in various initiatives and ensure alumni success through mentorship and networking. Her leadership will be crucial in engaging alumni across industries and ensuring their continued contribution to Lincoln’s mission. In addition, she is the co-president of the 80s Alumni Group.
A proud graduate of Lincoln University and co-founder of Young Alumni LU, Brandon Kendrick '10, has dedicated over 15 years to keeping younger alumni engaged through impactful fundraising and event initiatives. As Co-Alumni Affairs Coordinator, he will continue his work with the Young Alumni Honors event, recognizing exceptional alumni under the age of 45 who are excelling in their careers and communities. Brandon’s leadership and experience with major fundraising efforts will help expand Lincoln’s alumni programming and contribute to the success of upcoming university events, such as the Summer 2025 Young Alumni Honors.
Advancement
The Advancement team welcomes Lionel Green and Zoë Beavers, who bring a wealth of expertise in fiscal affairs, project coordination, and strategic communications. Their work will focus on supporting institutional advancement, ensuring financial sustainability, and enhancing communication efforts to elevate Lincoln University’s reputation and impact.
Lionel Green, Fiscal Affairs Specialist, joins Lincoln University with a strong background in accounting and financial management, bringing years of experience as an IRS Enrolled Agent. In his role as Fiscal Affairs Specialist, Lionel will oversee financial operations within the Office of Institutional Advancement, ensuring that donations, revenues, and expenses are managed effectively and in alignment with the university’s goals. His attention to detail and ability to navigate complex financial landscapes will be vital in supporting Lincoln’s advancement strategy.
Zoë Beavers, Project Coordinator/Executive Assistant to the Vice President for University Advancement, brings expertise in strategic communications, public relations, and digital marketing to her new role as Project Coordinator for University Advancement. She has worked with top global brands and will leverage her experience to amplify Lincoln University’s brand and digital presence. Zoë’s work will focus on enhancing communication efforts both internally and externally, ensuring Lincoln’s message resonates with key stakeholders, including alumni, students, and prospective donors.
University Relations
Misty Nunn '00, executive director of University Relations, continues to oversee Lincoln University's marketing and public relations initiatives in collaboration with key community partners.
