Leaders at Lincoln University of Missouri today released the following statement one year after the tragic death of Dr. Antoinette “Bonnie” Candia-Bailey:
“The loss of Dr. Antoinette “Bonnie” Candia-Bailey one year ago was a tragedy that remains with our school to this day. Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Dr. Candia-Bailey’s family, friends and our University. It remains important that we normalize conversations related to mental health on our campus – so that all members of our Lincoln community understand that it is customary, and sometimes vital, to seek help. We’re continuing to ensure our students, faculty and staff are aware of the resources and services that are available to them so they know they are not alone. This work is ongoing, and we are committed to continuing to make certain the mental health of the Lincoln community is a top priority.”
