25 in ’25 – Lincoln University Expands Academic Offerings with New Degree and Minor Programs

Lincoln University of Missouri, the first public, historically Black university in Missouri, is proud to announce the addition of several new degree and minor programs that launched this Spring 2025 semester and a future program set to launch in the Fall 2025 semester. These offerings contribute to Lincoln’s “25 in ‘25” points of pride to build on last year’s momentum and keep propelling the University to future success.

Spring 2025 Launch:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Music: This program offers concentrations in vocal, instrumental and music business, equipping students with the skills to excel in creative and entrepreneurial careers in the music industry
  • African American and Africana Studies Minor: This program will deepen students’ understanding of African American history and culture within the United States and abroad
  • Master of Arts in Higher Education: This online program was designed for students who are interested in advancing the mission and reach of higher education, with a concentration in expanding the missions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
  • Master of Education for K-12 Administrators: This online program will prepare future leaders to drive excellence in K-12 institutions.
  • Master of Business Administration: This program will be expanding its accessibility by offering an online version.

Fall 2025 Launch:

  • Master of Science in Nursing: This hybrid program will address the growing demand for advanced nursing professionals in underserved communities. The program will feature online coursework with in-person clinical requirements to be completed in the student’s local community. 

“Our new programs will continue to help Lincoln University expand options and opportunities for our students and fill critical workforce needs in the communities we serve,” said Lincoln University Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Stevie Lawrence II. “By offering innovative, accessible and forward-thinking academic opportunities, we prepare our students to lead and make meaningful contributions across Missouri and beyond.”
