Takara Taylor Named Assistant Director of Admissions at Lincoln University

Lincoln University of Missouri has appointed Takara Taylor as the new assistant director of admissions, effective Oct. 1. Taylor, who has served as the St. Louis remote recruiter since 2022, brings experience in student recruitment and enrollment management to her new role.

As assistant director of admissions, Taylor will collaborate with the director of admissions to develop and implement policies for recruiting, admitting and enrolling undergraduate students. She will also oversee recruitment and admission for new international students and assist in coordinating admission systems management.

"Takara has been an integral member of our admissions team, consistently surpassing her regional recruitment goals each year," said Dr. Danisha Williams, executive director of enrollment management. "We look forward to the leadership she will provide in this new role and celebrate her well-deserved accomplishments." 

Taylor's background includes experience as a senior admissions counselor at Harris-Stowe State University, where she implemented data-driven enrollment processes and led cross-functional teams to achieve strategic enrollment goals. Her expertise in conducting presentations and utilizing technology for data analysis has contributed to her success in increasing brand awareness and enhancing recruitment efforts.

In her new role, Taylor will focus on developing comprehensive recruitment and admissions plans, overseeing admissions publications and identifying structural changes to improve admission efforts. She will also serve on various committees and interact with prospective students to address concerns and overcome potential admission hurdles.
