Dr. Troy Frank Named Honors Program Director at Lincoln University

Lincoln University of Missouri has named Dr. Troy Frank as the new Honors Program director, effective Oct. 1, 2024. Dr. Frank, a professor of business at the University for more than 14 years, was recently honored with the 2024 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Education.
As Honors Program director, Dr. Frank will oversee all activities related to the program, including managing Honors courses, providing academic counseling, and working with other departments to enhance the program’s offerings. He will also focus on supporting high-achieving students and advocating for their academic success.
“I appreciate Dr. Frank’s excitement and willingness to lead the Honors Program into its next phase of academic excellence, and I look forward to all of the great things that will happen under his leadership,” said Dr. Stevie L. Lawrence II, provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Lincoln University extends its gratitude to Dr. Amy Gossett for her leadership of the Honors Program. Dr. Gossett will return to the faculty as a full professor of political science in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences.
“Dr. Gossett expressed her desire to return to the faculty to help reinvigorate public administration, contribute to academic program development, and prepare students for careers in the public sector,” said Lawrence. “We thank Dr. Amy Gossett for her leadership and her work with our high-achieving students.
In addition, the University is pleased to announce the formation of the Honors Program Student Advisory Council. The council’s student leaders, elected to their roles for the 2024–2025 academic year, include:

- Parliamentarian: Alexander Johnson
- Events/Community Service Chair: Ja’Miyah Jackson
