October 18th, 2024

Col. Ralph Butler has been awarded his degree from Lincoln University of Missouri, over 40 years after his graduation in 1980. At the time, Col. Butler could not receive his degree in person because he was summoned for military service right after finishing his studies. On Thursday, October 3, 2024, during a special ceremony, Lincoln University President Dr. John Moseley presented Col. Butler with his long-awaited diploma.

We thank Col. Butler for his service to our country and are proud to count him as a Blue Tiger alumnus.

Lincoln University is deeply committed to supporting our veterans and honoring their service to our nation. As an institution with a rich history of military connections, LU recognizes the sacrifices made by those who have served and continues to offer resources and opportunities for veterans to succeed. Col. Ralph Butler, USA (Ret.), exemplifies this spirit of dedication and leadership. In addition to receiving his degree, Col. Butler served as the guest speaker at the Army ROTC Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on October 4, 2024.
