Rufus Logan, a distinguished alumnus of Lincoln University, is being honored with a marker on the African-American Heritage Trail in Columbia, Missouri. Logan made significant contributions to the community as the owner and operator of Columbia’s first Black newspaper, The Professional World, which he established in 1901. This marker will be installed at the intersection of Providence Road and Ash Street, commemorating Logan's impactful legacy.
