Internet Activism
In this talk Dr. Mick B. Brewer will address some of the unique features distinguishing a new, fourth wave of feminist activism and theory, with emphasis on the digisphere and expanding social media landscape. Drawing from feminist, communication, and critical-cultural frameworks, Brewer will map some of the unique challenges and opportunities for feminist worldmaking in the 21st century, galvanized by, in no small part, ongoing expansions of the Public Sphere and social citizens' access to and participation within it.
