Missouri Constitution Test

The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a national program that offers the opportunity to obtain college credit through examination. To obtain credit for knowledge of the Missouri Constitution, a student taking the CLEP examination in U.S. History must also take a locally administered examination on the state constitution.

Area 5 of General Education Requirements

United States and Missouri Constitution requirement 3 hrs.

Graduation Requirement: Missouri Constitution Test

In accordance with Section 170.011 RSMo, all students graduating from a public or private Missouri institution must satisfactorily pass an examination covering the provisions and principles of the United States and Missouri Constitutions, as well as American History and American Institutions.

If you are nearing graduation and have not yet completed a course that fulfills this requirement, you will need to take and pass the Missouri Constitution Test to meet graduation criteria.
