St. Louis Urban Impact Center
Purpose
Our St. Louis Urban Impact Center (SLUIC) is part of Lincoln University Cooperative Extension's long tradition of providing outreach in the state and the eastern region of Missouri. We offer the means to assist students to communicate and network with the main campus faculty in Jefferson City as well as community resources in the St. Louis Metropolitan area. Specifically, the St. Louis Urban Impact Center provides outreach educational services to the community.
Mission
St. Louis Urban Impact Center's Mission is to offer research based educational outreach programs to Missouri's hard to reach at-risk population. Our primary focus is to provide avenues of hope through educational empowerment to promote and apply change using social justice in the eastern region of Missouri to enhance the quality of life for its residents through programs that promote self-sufficiency, economic stability and community development.
