Lincoln University Food Pantry Supports Students in Need

April 7th, 2025

Lincoln University of Missouri continues its commitment to student well-being with the expansion of its on-campus resources, including the student food pantry. Located at SUC B3, the pantry was established through a partnership between the Division of Student Affairs and Building Community Bridges (BCB), made possible through a RTYS Community Project Grant. Dr. Amber Bell, director of the BSW Program and assistant professor of social work, was instrumental in the development of this initiative in 2023.

“The Lincoln Student Food Pantry is more than a resource, it is a support system to ensure no student must choose between their education and their next meal,” said Dr. Tobias Morgan, LU chief student affairs officer and dean of students. “When we address food insecurity, we’re not just feeding our students — we are setting them up for success!”

The pantry offers a variety of free non-perishable and perishable items, providing students with quick meals or snacks to take home. To access these resources, students need only present their Lincoln Student ID. The initiative ensures that students have reliable access to food and essentials, supporting their success both academically and personally.
