Lincoln University of Missouri is marking progress towards its 2026 opening of the Health & Security Sciences Institute (HSSI) as part of its “25 in ‘25” points of pride.
The University broke ground on its new project that will advance healthcare and crisis response education throughout Missouri and the Midwest this past October. The ceremony marked the launch of a 40,000-square-foot facility that will serve as an educational hub dedicated to training essential healthcare and crisis response professionals.
HSSI was designed to expand Lincoln’s acclaimed nursing program and expand the Law Enforcement Training Academy, addressing the critical needs of both local and state communities. It will also provide a space for local, state and regional agencies to collaborate with Lincoln students and faculty. This opportunity aligns with the University’s mission to meet the needs of underserved populations and enhance community responsiveness.
“We are thrilled to see the Health & Security Sciences Institute continue taking shape and moving closer to its planned opening,” said Lincoln University President Dr. John B. Moseley. “This facility will equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to address critical needs in healthcare and crisis response.”
Reflecting on the groundbreaking event, Lincoln University celebrates this achievement as another cornerstone of its resources to advance innovation and education for its students and communities across the region.
Stay tuned for the rest of the month with more of Lincoln’s 25 in ’25.
