Lincoln University of Missouri to Celebrate Homecoming, September 29–October 5

Lincoln University of Missouri is set to celebrate its 99th Homecoming from September 29 to October 5, a beloved tradition since 1925. Each fall, students, alumni and friends return to "The Hill" to honor the institution that helped shape their paths. All students, alumni, faculty, friends and family are invited to join this year’s festivities and celebrate Blue Tiger pride. 

The week kicks off on Sunday, September 29 at 6 p.m. with a gospel concert featuring JJ Hairston, Kayla Boyce, the Lincoln University Principles of Worship Gospel Choir and more at Mitchell Auditorium in the Richardson Fine Arts Center. Admission is free for students, and general admission tickets are $20. Doors open at 5 p.m.

The Homecoming Pep Rally Kick-Off will follow at 8 p.m. on the SUC Back Patio, hosted by the Office of Student Engagement. Enjoy music by DJ Swart and a drone show starting at 9 p.m. 

On Tuesday, October 1, the Lincoln University of Missouri Homecoming Oratorical Competition, hosted by University College, will take place at Pawley Theatre. Doors open at 9 a.m., with the competition beginning at 10 a.m. Speakers will compete for cash prizes. Learn more.

The Mister and Miss Lincoln University Coronation will be held on Thursday, October 3 at 7 p.m. in Jason Gymnasium, where Yessnia Austin-Dixon ’25 will be crowned the 100th Miss Lincoln University, and Jesse Canamore ’26 will become the 22nd Mister Lincoln University. Admission is free.

The Homecoming Greek Step Show is on Friday, October 4 at 7 p.m. in Mitchell Auditorium. Purchase tickets in advance for $20, with day-of tickets priced at $25. Doors open at 6 p.m. Ticket price for the step show includes admission to the Step Show After Party in Jason Gym at 10 p.m. If you did not purchase a step show ticket but want to attend the after-party, purchase tickets here.

Saturday, October 5, is packed with events for all ages. The Homecoming Parade begins at 9 a.m. in Downtown Jefferson City, followed by the Blue Tiger Ambush Tailgate Festival at 11 a.m. in The LINC parking lot. A tailgate ticket is also valid for entry to the football game. Purchase a tailgate-game ticket here. Tailgate spaces for organizations may be purchased here.

Purchase tickets here for the Homecoming game, where Blue Tiger football will face off against Lincoln University California at Dwight T. Reed Stadium, with a 2 p.m. kickoff.

After cheering on the Blue Tigers, wrap up the day with the Homecoming Concert Party featuring BossMan DLow & JT with vibes by DJ Bounce. Doors open at 8 p.m. Advance tickets are $65, and day-of tickets are $80.

During Homecoming week, the Lincoln University Bookstore will offer extended hours to accommodate visitors. The bookstore will be open from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 3, and Friday, October 4. On Saturday, October 5, it will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., giving alumni, students and guests ample time to purchase LU gear and other merchandise.
