Counseling Services Available

Lincoln University continues to mourn the passing of Blue Tiger Family member Dr. Antoinette "Bonnie" Candia-Bailey.

As a reminder, the mental health and well-being of our students, staff, and faculty is our utmost concern in times like these and always. The Thompkins Student Health and Counseling Center’s regular service hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You may sign up for services from the website, email Thompkins Health Center, or call 573-681-5476 for assistance with scheduling an appointment or to find out what support services are available for you and your friends.

The following additional off-campus services are also available to faculty, staff, and students:

988 Crisis Hotline

If you are dealing with suicidal thoughts or in crisis, utilize the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7 and reachable via call or text. The service offers free and confidential support for people in distress, prevention, and crisis resources for you or your loved ones. Help is available at any time: Please call or text 988. Conversations are free and confidential.

Capital Region Medical Center Mental Wellness Clinic

Taking care of your mental health is as important if not more important than your physical health. The mental health professionals at Mental Wellness Clinic provide confidential counseling and psychiatry services to children (age 4 and older) to adults to the elderly struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, stress, substance use, and more. For individuals who do not have health insurance and who cannot afford to pay, services may be offered free of charge.

The Mental Wellness Clinic is located at 1432 Southwest Blvd in Jefferson City. Appointments can be made by calling 573-632-5560, or scheduling online at https://www.crmc.org/services/mental-wellness/

Right Road Counseling, LLC

Compass Health/Crises Access Point

Compass Health provides support for individuals in crisis. Their facility provides individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis a safe place to meet their immediate basic needs for up to 23 hours.

There are no costs associated with the initial crisis triage service. Compass Health can also assist individuals with enrolling for state Medicaid (presumptive eligibility and 90 days back-to-date for ongoing services). Below are the Compass Health/Crises Access Point locations across Missouri.
