Lincoln University of Missouri Names April Robinson as Human Resources Director
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. — Following a nationwide search, Lincoln University of Missouri has hired April Robinson as executive director of human resources. Robinson comes to Lincoln from the Atlanta, Georgia, area, bringing an array of experience in organizational development, leadership coaching, recruiting and retention, conflict mediation, employee relations and employment law.
In her new role at Lincoln since Nov. 1, Robinson serves as an adviser and strategic partner to university administration on personnel issues. She leads an office responsible for talent acquisition and retention, training and staff development, performance management, benefits and counseling, salary administration, regulatory compliance, labor and employee relations, information systems and records management.
Her passion for adapting new technologies and bringing solutions to challenging problems drives her goals for Lincoln, she says. “My goal is to design effective HR processes that strengthen the institution’s staff development and workforce planning to drive results and improve the organization as a whole.”
Robinson earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Jones College in Jacksonville, Florida. She holds a dual-degree Master of Science in health care and project management from Kaplan University. Professional affiliations include the Society for Human Resource Management and the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources. She has previously served in human resources positions in higher education, non-profit and Fortune 500 companies.
