Lincoln University Forms New Office of Student Financial Services
Lincoln University | May 27th, 2022
Lincoln University of Missouri announces a merger of the financial aid and student account offices into a single unit called the Office of Student Financial Services. The merger, which takes effect June 1, will combine all financial services for students to better serve their needs.
The reorganization provides a single point of contact for students and their families to access information about financing a college education. A more efficient Office of Student Financial Services will offer greater assistance to students through streamlined processes and faster service.
"Our primary goal is to serve Lincoln University students in a more streamlined fashion," says Jeff Barlow, vice president of administration and finance. "This merger of two similarly focused offices will help students and their families navigate the issues that crop up in financing a college education. We want to make it as simple as possible for them to get through the financial process so they can continue with their educational goals."
Barlow notes that scholarships may still be available for applicants. "We are excited about LU's Blue Tiger Advantage Scholarship as well as scholarship increases and changes at the state level that make it more affordable than ever to attend Lincoln University," he says. "Legislative changes to the Fast Track Incentive Grant at the state level are making it easier for students who stopped out to come back and finish a degree. This combined unit will help ensure transparency in financing an education at Lincoln while ensuring we help maximize scholarships for students."
Student Financial Services is located on campus in 103 Young Hall, 820 Chestnut St., in Jefferson City. Students and families with questions about billing or financial aid may contact the office at 573-681-6156 or email SFS@lincolnu.edu.
